What’s your role at Nuna and what do you do?
I'm a Recruiting Operations Specialist on the Recruiting team.
My day-to-day work involves supporting our Recruiters with scheduling candidate interviews, as well as collaborating across the People Department on various projects dealing with Recruiting Operations.
One of my latest projects was helping to build and roll out Interviewer Training.
The Stay Interview
In his WorkLife podcast, Adam Grant talks about the “stay interview” where we
ask people why they’ve decided to stick around and what would keep them in the future.
I’d like to focus on the second half of that quote:
What are two things we could do to keep you at Nuna?
One, I think mutual trust built in relationships is essential. If I feel I can trust the business partners I’m working with and know they have confidence in me. Building that trust does take time, but it’s essential to have it so that when we have to confront an issue, we know it’s not personal and won’t impact the future of our relationship.
The second is having managers and leaders who invest in career growth. You don’t want to feel stagnant in a job for too long. There are a lot of opportunities and areas for development at Nuna, so as long as I know that my leaders are vested not just in the company but in me, I’ll definitely stick around.
Where is your favorite place to go on vacation?
I have the most fun when I visit people. My sisters-in-law both live in New York, so I love it there because I get to see family and friends, eat good food and watch plays.
Marry (lifetime), Date (one year), or Dump (one month)? Disney+/Hulu, Netflix, HBO
Based on my pattern, I guess I would marry Netflix. I’ve had it forever and can’t see myself letting it go. Date Disney+/Hulu: they do an excellent job at staggering their shows, so you can’t leave. And finally, dump HBO. I have it right now because I want to watch Friends.

Could you share a picture of your favorite Disney pin and the story of how you acquired it?
I have two that I really like. The one with the more exciting story is my Moana pin. So there are these super high-value pins called profile pins because they are employee exclusive and are a Limited Edition of 250. They are actually reasonably priced for employees too. And during my time at Pixar, I was able to trade two of those for a Moana pin.
